Engineer – Agriculture Engineer

Location: Paso Robles, CA.

Job Description

From concept to complete machine, the Research department at Andros strives to create innovative custom machinery offering customers improved efficiency through mechanization. Be a part of a team developing technologies to serve the future of the agricultural industry.

Perform as a member of a research and development focused team to design and build ag machinery. Complete design of mechanical systems, engineering analysis and design reviews. Create 3D models, shop drawings and bills of materials. Interact, coordinate and assist fellow engineers, fabrication personnel, vendors and clients to complete jobs in an efficient and timely manner. Assist in the manufacturing and in-field testing processes. Work in varied field environments to prove design integrity and determine necessary improvements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (Agricultural, Mechanical, or related)
  • Background in agriculture
  • Knowledge and experience with industrial fabrication and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work in a production shop environment
  • Work environments include office, shop and onsite at customer’s locations
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and electrical
  • Knowledge and experience with drafting and 3D solid modeling (Solidworks)
  • Effective written and oral communication, organization and time management skills
  • Display ethics and professionalism at all times
  • Work well in both team and independent environments
  • Detail oriented individual with excellent critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime as necessary
  • CA driver’s license required

Welder/Fabricator

Location: Paso Robles, CA.

Job Description

The manufacturing group at Andros Engineering seeks career minded individual for a Welder/Fabricator position in our fabrication shop. We offer excellent pay and benefits with growth and promotion opportunities.

Required Skills:

  • Self-starter with a good attitude and communication skills
  • Fabrication skills utilizing power and hand tools, FCAW, GMAW, and SMAW processes
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and mobile equipment
  • Experience with basic machining
  • Read and understand mechanical drawings
  • Must be organized and capable of multi-tasking in solo and team environments
  • A background in agriculture or heavy equipment is beneficial
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for 5+ hours at a time
  • Willing to accept training, work overtime as required and travel
  • Valid CA Driver’s License
  • A basic welding test is given during the interview

Class-A Driver – Heavy Machinery

Location: Paso Robles, CA.

Job Description

The Ag Services Division is looking for a Truck Driver. You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

You will be required to safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer truck, load and unload cargo with tractor or forklift, properly track and document activity log, and inspect truck before and after trip.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in truck driving or other related fields desired
  • Commercial driver’s license
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong work ethic
  • Up to date physical certificate

Inventory Specialist

Location: Paso Robles, CA.

Job Description

Responsible for aiding the operations of the material preparation, fabrication, and assembly departments with a focus on inventory inflow and outflow.

Stock/retrieve/label items. Stage laser, painted, plated, etc. items for the assembly, material preparation, and fabrication shops, in collaboration with coworkers in said shops. Site organizational rearrangement and site organizational and cleanliness maintenance. Inspect and fuel forklifts. Physical inventory counting.

Required Skills:

  • Self-starter with a good attitude and communication skills
  • Work well in both team and independent environments
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Valid CA Driver’s License
  • Basic computer competency
  • Forklift certified or possess the ability to acquire forklift certification.
  • Basic understanding of AEC’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system, Genius
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to read shipping/receiving documentation to ensure accurate receiving
